If you are a yeek you can take the tunnel, otherwise not. The thing is the yeeks "mentally" disallow you to go through the tunnel, but the message could be more clear to indicate that you CANNOT go through the tunnel this game.
The Berserk talent improves your stun resistance, but the cost (-10 armour and -10 defense) is pretty heavy. Increase Con and the Health talent for more hitpoints, and improve and use Ice Skin.
You can wear a second ring. Spend the 417 gp for better gear, e.g. your amulet, cloak and hat could use an upgrade (unless you intend to buy an artifact for 500 gp). Try to collect some rings and amulets for swapping.
But beware, in a few levels you can get a nasty and deadly encounter while travelling.
Congrats! I hope you don't take your win to mean "I need to make everything harder" like some roguelike authors seem to.

Don't know if you noticed, there's some interface difficulties with multiple dialogs on the screen; it popped up a window just now for me asking for donations... I think. It was behind "Exterminator! Killed 1000 creatures!" and when I clicked "Close" it closed the one that I couldn't see instead of the achievement. Hard to get donations that way. :)

I think it's a bug, because there was mention of changing the savvy talent (which is part of that tree) in the patch notes for b20 - no reason to do that if you're getting rid of it altogether! I reported it on the forums.

These guys aren't charging in to die, they are charging in to make sure you don't steal all their kills and get all the good loot. They may be tired, injured, and retired but those instincts don't go away. They don't see a troll horde, they see a bunch of xp pinatas and who can resist a pinata?
I agree, and I have no complaints. My initial surprise was soon replaced with a grin. In fact, it might be nifty to play a roguelike where nothing is explicitly declared "dead". After each blow, your character evaluates the enemy. It might be safe to turn your back on that "pulped" orc, but loot that "pulped" gelatinous cube with care. Might lead to some interesting battle choices.
If a flurry is six strikes in the time a normal dude would hit once...well then they are pretty awesomely fast strikes. You don't seriously suggest that your character should, after each & every strike, check your foe's vital signs and then evaluate whether or not to attack again?
Nonono. You focus, and then unleash them in a blink of an eye. You victim will remain upright for the duration, before dropping down, perplexed and quite dead, regardsless.
