GameTales of Maj'Eyal: Age of Ascendancy 1.7.6
Addons

Octopodes 1.7.6

Adds a variety of random youkai that have weird and/or stupid quirks, generally pertaining to equipment slots.
Takonyudo (octopode): namesake of the addon. Start with poison unlocked. 4 weapon and 4 offhands, 8 rings, and no armor except helmet.
Oboroguruma (oxcart): equip any weapon, armor, or jewelry you like, but the total quantity of items you can equip is limited by level.
Chopirako (house spirit): all chance based events succeed every time.
Iwanabozu (fish monk): high life rating. Cannot deal or take more than 1% of its life per hit, which is relaxed as you deal or take more damage.
Mekurabe (pile of skulls): 16 head slots and no other armor. Roll around stealthily as a bunch of heads, then assemble yourself to frighten anyone you stare at.
Kyorinrin (sentient scroll): no armor slots. Gain stats and extra talent levels by picking up lore pieces depending on how long the lore scrap was.
Aoandon (lantern spirit): no armor slots. Tell ghost stories to reduce power and saves, then manifest in a flash of terror.

Octopodes 1.7.6

Patrol Gold 1.7.6

--- DESCRIPTION ---

This addon makes enemies in the world map patrol drop a fair amount of gold.

Every enemy generated via a world map ambush will drop ten instances of gold, averaging around one gold per instance. If used with the Spells Merchants addon by Akaviriblade, it adds a way to "grind" the patrols for gold so you can buy stat points and whatnot.

It should work with every mod, but please let me know if you get a compatibility error! :)

--- INSTALLATION ---

1) Download the file

2) Move it inside /(Your Game Directory)/game/addons

3) Launch Tales of Maj'Eyal

4) On the main menu select "Addons"

5) Find "Patrol Gold" and ensure it's active

--- COMPATIBILITY ---

Not compatible with mods that change data/general/npcs/humanoid_random_boss.lua
(Should be compatible with all mods)

Updated to work for 1.7.6

Lixie Gacha 1.7.0

The lixiegacha. If you don't know what that means, this is unlikely to be any fun for you. It's a self-indulgent gachapon-inspired game where you make daily rolls to see which of my characters you can collect. It doesn't have real gameplay beyond that.

Lixie Gacha 1.7.0

Class+Race Pack 1.7.4

Adds several new classes and races:
- Bladebender class: Psionic melee fighter that triple-wields daggers and has "meta" talents that can modify other talents.
- Harbinger class: Wilder melee fighter that channels storms through their attacks. More powerful against groups of foes than against single targets. Their class talents do not use resources.
- The Cooler Anorithil class: Revamp of the Anorithil class that must directly alternate between Solar and Lunar talents instead of managing positive/negative energy.
- Zephyr class: Basically a ranged and exclusively lightning-based version of Arcane Blade. Overpowered, not a serious class, and mostly exists to demonstrate instant projectiles.

- Moon Fox race: Race that can radically transform class and generic talents by attaching tails to them.
- Dreamelf race: Overpowered race that can reposition enemies and shorten talent cooldowns.
- Lich race: Undead race that can convert a portion of all their damage into a damage type of their choice.

This addon also makes a couple other changes to make the Zephyr class work:
- Feather Wind is no longer snapshottable, provides less defense but provides both melee and ranged defense, and its maximum encumbrance is no longer spellpower-dependent.

Other than that, the addon tries not to affect existing classes/races/talents. The new classes won't appear on enemies or Adventurers.

You may freely modify and redistribute this addon and its contents, except where otherwise indicated in the Credits section below.

===== Changelog =====
1.1.1:
- Added Moon Fox race
- Bug fix: Dreamelf/Moon Fox gender restriction now works fully
- Simplified Resistance to give all resistance instead of physical, fire, cold, lightning, and acid resistance, and greatly reduced its resistance value to be more in line with Thick Skin (i.e. it sucks now)

1.1.0:
- Updated for ToME version 1.7.2 (including translation support)
- Changed some talents to mitigate ToME's crit tracking bug ( http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=51477 ). Talents with non-damaging effects that crit (e.g. Countershock, Solar Shield) now try to preserve previous crit state; other affected talents are detailed individually below.
- Redesigned all combatTalentLimit() calls, attempting to adapt to 1.7's change to combatTalentLimit() shape.
- Slight changes to various talent descriptions for consistency.
- Bladebender:
- Bug fix: Deja Vu no longer routinely fails to force its target and no longer infinitely repeats talents with coroutines
- Bug fix: Specialty can no longer be used on prodigies
- Bug fix: Specialty now calls on_mastery_change and updates talent passives correctly
- Bug fix: Eliminated an accidentally-left-in debugging line (printed "asdfasglasldgkj" when Project reactivated after leveling up)
- Air Parry now prints its message right before destroying a projectile instead of right after
- Cooler Anorithil:
- Bug fix: Selenelion now provides the correct amount of extra spell crit multiplier
- Bug fix: Ad Astra no longer refers to Jumpgate in its failure message (text-only bug)

- Crit tracking bug mitigation: Star Song beams now crit individually
- Crit tracking bug mitigation: Solar Flares explosions now crit individually
- Resistance's talent level scaling curve for its resistances adjusted (lower values at talent level 1, higher values at higher talent levels)
- Solar Shield duration reduced to 5 (from 10); the long duration was a holdover from when Bathe in Light could be obtained from escorts
- Solar Shield's description now includes damage shield power and duration bonuses
- Harbinger:
- Finally got rid of the Tremor category.
- Crit tracking bug mitigation: Flashover now tries to preserve previous crit state and uses its own crit state for its damage
- Fortress of Ruin now provides evasion instead of a variant of crit shrug.
- Resistance now provides slightly more resistance
- Resistance's resistance cap bonus now converges instead of scaling at ^0.5
- Fortitude now scales linearly (previously ^0.75) and generally gives slightly more saves
- Lich:
- Bug fix: The Lich talent now describes the effect of 1.7 critical shrug instead of 1.5 critical shrug.
- Ancient Knowledge now has a safeguard for talent categories that are known by the actor but don't actually exist (fixes compatibility with Arcanist class from Arcanum).
- Zephyr:
- Bug fix: Lightning Phase's damage can now crit
- Crit tracking bug mitigation: Hail of Destruction's spell crit now happens per-target for the lightning explosion, instead of before doing the archery attack

1.0.1:

- Bug fix: Vortex now attributes its damage correctly (allows it to trigger "Talent on hit (mindpower)" directly)
- Bug fix: Ancient Knowledge no longer affects mastery of prodigies (coincidentally fixes Adept error)
- No longer modifies Tempest because its snapshotting is fixed in Bugfix Pack.

1.0.0:
- Initial release
- Changes to the classes and races:
- All content updated for ToME4 version 1.6.7

- Some indentation cleanup
- Edited some descriptions
- Bladebender:
- Bug fix: The sound effect for Break Guard now accounts for the enemy shrugging off the disarm or stun
- Bug fix: Deja Vu recursion guard no longer sticks around slightly longer than intended when the Deja Vu sustain is deactivated
- Bug fix: Deja Vu now has a message when its chosen talent is lost, like the other Talent Perfection talents
- Bug fix: Specialty now updates the passive effects of non-passive talents
- Bug fix: Waiting Blades now only attacks hostile creatures as it claims
- Lesser Weapon Focus can now trigger from all attacks that did not originate from Lesser Weapon Focus, but has a lower trigger chance

- Removed stun immunity (farewell consistency with NPC liches)
- Reduced life rating from 10 to 8

Class+Race Pack 1.7.4

No Prodigy Requirements 1.7.4

Prodigies have minimal requirements - usually none.

No Prodigy Requirements 1.7.4

Pepper Pack 1.7.6

Adds classes, races, objects and other stuff into the game.

Class: Performer / Bard

Jacks of all trades, masters of none, Bards are known for being proficient in a vast array of talents, such as melee and ranged combat, spellcasting and performing capabilities and blend all of these styles into a very versatile mix.

Race: Animal / Bunnymorph (& Kruk variant)

Bunnymorphs are former humanoids morphed into bunnies by a spooky evil dark wizard. This transformation rendered them more fragile but gave them some special talents.
Kruk Bunnymorphs are a more physically apt variant of Bunnymorphs, as they have orcish origins.

Objects and other additions include rapiers, whips, harps, flutes, lutes, singing swords, a new item type (instrument), a new resource pool (melody), a new damage type (sound), a new escort type, a sizable amount of new egos centered around melody, sound damage, new talents and a handful of new artifacts.

Thanks to rexorcorum for all the custom images and to game-icons.net for the custom icons.

Pepper Pack 1.7.6

Starting Prodigy Remixed 1.0.4

Prodigies have no level requirements and lessened stat requirements - and all characters start with one.
Still works in Newest, probably works in older versions of the game.
Remade cause the old one was kind of jank and way too broken for me. This version still requires all other requirements be met.

Starting Prodigy Remixed 1.0.4

Void Scholar - Celestial Class 1.7.0

Adds the Void Scholar, a twisted Celestial class themed around cosmic expansion and the emptiness of space, featuring a unique starting scenario. Void Scholars are dedicated spellcasters with poor durability, but many ways to negate damage and debilitate foes. Their spells are ineffective against nearby targets, but grow incredibly potent when cast at a distance -- strike from the depths of infinity, where no eyes or blades can reach! They use a unique resource called "Void Energy" that is built up by casting certain spells and quickly disperses when out of combat, requiring careful management to retain momentum.

Unique talent trees:
Logia (generic): Three forbidden chants to turn away slings, arrows, and everything else!
Void (generic): Render foes impotent before the majesty of the Void!
Vacuum: Draw upon the cosmic vacuum to replenish your resources!
Dilation: Pull space apart like putty to shred your foes!
Chaos: Crumble away your foes' defenses with the Void's power!
Collapse: Slowly crush enemies down to nothing under the Void's relentless weight!
Subspace: Ride and shape the Void to control the battlefield!
Dissolution: Dissolve away the material world to erode the strength of those who oppose you!
Genesis (locked): Repaint the world in your image to build overwhelming power!
Hyperspace (locked): Stretch and bend the universe to resculpt existence and unleash untold destruction!
Terminus (locked): Bring the slow, inevitable doom of the universe upon your foes!

All things come to an end, adventurer. Those who place themselves above the slow march of the cosmos should take heed not to stand upon nothing.

Void Scholar - Celestial Class 1.7.0

Class: Astromancer 1.7.0

A new class, a Celestial summoner who draws on the powers of Shandral's other planets to call up elementals.
Their basic trees summon and support Fire, Ice, and Lightning Elementals, as well as providing utility effects.
Their unlockable advanced trees rain down Meteors and twist Time Elementals into being.
They start with Chants, and a new tree in the vein of chants and hymns. They can unlock Celestial Light.

Their main resource is negative energy, which they generate by summoning and some other spells, and spent by others.

This mod should be compatible with just about everything.
Superloads

  • data/talents/uber/mag to support Blighted Summoning
  • mod/class/interface/combat.lua to support Glacial Path's speed boost.

Adjustable Talent/Stat/Generic Point Multiplier 1.0.3

Hello, everyone. This is my first mod; I would like to state, first and foremost, that it is my very first, and I hardly know the language. I have been using it, and have not experienced any bugs personally; but to be safe, I would say back-up saves before using, and so on.

This mod may be considered a little "Cheaty", but I made it for those who found the game too hard, or wanted faster progress/different customization, but didn't want to reach high level too fast via the 'Adjustable EXP' mod (Like myself). This mod allows you to, via Game Options, set a modifier (Whole numbers only) from 1-10, for how many Stat Points, Talent Points, and Generic Points you get per level, seperately. You could make yourself gain 2x the stats (So 6) per level, or instead, 3x the Talent Points, while only the normal amount of generic ones. I tried to make it pretty customizable, really.

I hope you enjoy! Please report any bugs you find.

Update 1: Adjusted the md5 hash, and short-name inside the addon, to allow it to register with the md5 check okay.

Update 2:
I included EXP rate modification, aka, exp gained per kill, as seen in the adjustable-exp mod. It was because I used it at times, but it wasn't updated. If the owner of said mod would like it removed once updated, I can!

As a note, these are editable in Game Options -> Gameplay, AFTER having made a new character.

After doing this, you can adjust EXP rate between 0 and 1000%.
You can gain between 1-10x the following:
Stat Points
Talent Points
Generic Points
For example, you gain 3x Stat Points per level up usually, at "3x" multiplier, you will gain 9. This is ONLY at level up. You have the normal amount at level 1!

!! You MUST make a new character !!

Doctornull's Classes Reloaded 1.7.4

Contains some new hybrid classes: Ascetic, Blood Mage, Creep, Flenser, Striker, Gravitic Infantry, Storm Warden, Transcendent Fist, Vector, and a few others.

Details & discussion here:
http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=38670

Yakri: I'm making a couple changes suggested in the mod thread, and testing for errors/incompatibilities in current version of TOME.
I don't actually know any lua, so we'll see how much I can actually get done.

All credit goes to Null, and FailPail for creating the creepfix.

Changes:
Added Techniques/Combat Veteran to transcendent Fist.

Doctornull's Classes Reloaded 1.7.4

Outsiders 1.7.6

The Sher'tul wiped out all the gods. All the gods of Eyal in any case, and only the ones that mattered, and not the ones that escapes, and some of them left fragments, and even then there are so many excpetions. Your are a minor god, either from beyond Eyal, or missed by the purge. Beneath the notice of the godkillers. But the Sher'tul are gone, and compared to the mortals you stand well above.

This is a continuation of Godling which I published previously and contains the Engineered from that.

The three races are:

Engineered: a made godlike entity, grows with level (grows: Stats/resources/speed)

Lost god: a fallen god from before the godhunt, can spend gold to 'spread faith' gaining abilities (stats/resources/speed/durability/resistances)

True Demon: Inspiration for Malrokian modifications. Able to manipulate souls they have captured. Grows with time and kills (stats/resources/speed/durability/affinities)

Todo: True demons are supposed to use a dialog to select which 'garden' your using your souls in. True demons should either be using addtemporary for stat gains, or I need to create a superload, as the existing method of pushing an absolute difference is considered 'not best practice' (due to the need to recalculate where stats are applied).

Spell Merchants 1.7.6

Dual-Classes Reworked by AscendingPhoenix 1.7.4

Allows the player to pick two classes, but the difficulty scales upward. (Original by StarKeep, modded by Raenarill).
You advance twice as fast, and gain two thirds more talent points. You also gain six talent category points: at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60.
After level 66, you gain one class talent point per level and one generic every two out of three levels.

In order to activate this addon, look at your Game Options for a new tab.

Dual-Classes Reworked by AscendingPhoenix 1.7.4

Yakri's Stat Changes v2 1.7.6

My personal twist on and combination of "TLR's Stat changes" by thelastraven, "Moderately Generous Levels" by Chaotic Heretic, and "Constitution Viability Buff" by Raenarill.

We're pretty far down the rabbit hole of modding other modders mods here.

I decided to make yet another variant here because I wanted a power up to some underwhelming builds
that I've been running lately with a focus on constitution, too many different stats at once, or I
really just want to force one category to the moon for the theme I want.

However, this mod went much too far for my liking in terms of generic power boost, so I'm releasing my own version which mainly has changes
stripped out and nerfed from TLR's version in such a way as to create yet another unique variant.

Leveling changes:
Sets max level to 100, though you still get the bonus points at 50. Birth stats remain unchanged.

Level 2 is a "double" level, granting double the normal points (6 stat, 2 class/generic points)
Extra stat point every fourth level, starting at level 4.
Extra class point every sixth level, starting at level 6.
Gets rid of the extra class point and removal of a generic point at level intervals of 5.
One category point at levels 10, 15, 20, 25, 35, 50, 75, and 100. Removed point at 34.
Two prodigies at level 25, and then one at 50, 75, and 100. Removed prodigy at 42.

Constitution changes:
Max life per point increased from 4 to 5.
Added 0.05 life regen/turn per point.
Added 0.5 Stamina per point.

I just tweaked some values, all credit goes to TLR, Chaotic Heretic, and Raenarill.

Yakri's Stat Changes v2 1.7.6

Class: Revamped Wyrmic 1.7.0

A variation on wyrmics, as a multi-elemental debuff-centered class.
Rather than having their abilities scattered among the elements, they'll rank up melee attacks, mental attacks, and elements separately.

The core of Wyrmic is:
Combat Techniques
Draconic Combat - provides weapon attacks.
Draconic Energy - provides mindpower attacks.
Draconic Body - provides mobility and survivability.

Then, a wyrmic picks one of the six natural elements: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Sand, Acid, or Poison. Each element has a single ability available right away, and a set of advanced skills that require a category point to access.
Finally, the advanced Prismatic Tree rewards you for changing elements.

Apex Predator - new generic tree that fills in a few gaps and lets you wear gems.
Please leave feedback and bug reports in the linked Forum Discussion thread.

Class: Spellweaver 1.7.6

Adds the Spellweaver, a Mage subclass who creates custom spells with Spellweaving components.
For example, a Spellweaver might make a spell using the Fire element, the Beam shape, and the Damage Over Time effect to make a simple Damage over Time Fire Beam. However, spells can get vastly more complicated, with things like a "Grand Checkerboard of Eclipsing and Feverish Wallweaving and Prismatic and Radiat Lingering Harm" if you want to be way over the top.
Additionally, Spellweavers can make shielding and teleportation spells with components too, although all three types of spells use the same slots.
Spellweavers who are Humans, Elves, Dwarves or Undeads will also begin in Wovenhome in the East and have a special dungeon to start the game.
