Audiomancy 1.7.4Version 1.2.1 released Jan 16, 2023; see change notes. Audiomancy is an audio enhancement for ToME that does not affect music. It started with the High Quality Sounds mod (thanks to Gurkoz), but it does a bit more than replace sounds. It enhances the code introducing random variance, layering, and new trigger points. Weapon types (sword, great axe, mace, sling, bows, etc.) have distinct sounds in combat, along with NPC types having different impact sounds. Many weapons have distinct critical hit sounds as well. Ranged weapons have separated attack and hit sounds. Melee and ranged talents you would have expected to produce sound before likely will with this mod. Multiple hits trigger multiple sounds, e.g. the Volley talent. There is still more to do, especially in terms of providing distinct sound effects for various game mechanics and talents, but the code as-is will affect almost every sound played in the game while adding more. I attempted to maximize compatibility, replacing a single function and using superloading and hooking for the rest. Some say their allure goes beyond mere physical beauty and swear they entrance others by caressing their inner thoughts with mental powers beyond understanding. 1. Dressed to Kill: Once per turn when an enemy sees you they must save against your mindpower or suffer mind damage. The damage can not be reduced by mental save and can be a mental critical hit. Your mindpower for this check is boosted based on your equipped rings, necklace, and belt. Enemies of rank Normal and lower will simply die instead of taking damage. 2. Stunning Looks: Enemies within a cone with a radius equal to your vision range must make a physical save against your mindpower or become stunned for several turns. 3. Irresistible: Enemies who can see you but are not adjacent to you suffer from a stacking affliction which reduces their saves, defense, and resistance to all damage. 4. Take it Off: All enemies who can see you when you sustain this talent will suffer from talent failure chance so long as they can still see you and you continue to sustain the talent. Requires a belt. Outlander 1.7.4Adds Outlander as a playable human subrace, he has VERY UNIQUE talents. v1.0.10: now it costs 100% - 20% current xp if you want to learn a talent from an enemy. Naloren Pack 1.7.4Adds two races, one class, a new town, and a new low level dungeon. Completing a quest to explore the new dungeon unlocks purchasable perks in the town. Artificer Class 1.7.4Adds an Artificer class to the game. Beware: Although powerful later on, artificers have a weak early game, and require a good deal of item management to succeed. This class may not be for everyone. Requires Embers of Rage DLC Lumberjack on the Map 1.7.0Places the Cursed Village event on the map as a lumberjack NPC rather than an undetectable encounter. A companion piece to Melinda on the Map and Merchant on the Map; they can be used together or separately. The Hammer of Urh'Rok: Part I 1.7.4The Hammer of Urh'Rok, Part I ((This Addon requires the Ashes of Urh'rok DLC)) In this timeline, the Scourge from the West died after using the Demonic Orb of Many Ways, giving the demons everything they needed to get through the planetary shield. As a Bringer of Doom in service to the demonic invasion, you will fight your way across a dozen new zones, uncover mysteries, pillage cities, join evil cults, and bring ruin to the land of Maj'Eyal. Future updates will bring better art, more variety, and all sorts of content. Now with 4 pieces of art by rexorcorum! Rocketman Gear Pack 1.7.6Un-ego'd gear that can be upgraded! Soon to be expanded with custom art and more items.. Adds sunstone gear to the game, and a new type of ego based off of crystal hearts! The art is not finished yet, but as is there are several character sprites to choose from along with sprites for the chest armor, swords, and sun crystals. Sunstone is an armor type that provides bonuses to max life, blight and darkness resistance at the expense of being ravaged by acid. Sunstone weapons provide damage conversion, and a slight bonus to penetration of their element. And lastly, sun stones/crystals upgrade gear of white/green quality to artifact status. Increasing their armor and light/nature damage. In addition to providing some light damage on hit. (soon to be split into mossy (nature) and regular (light) variants. Corrupted Skeleton 1.7.6A few changes to skelly I thought would make it actually interesting to pick for some classes as it previously was easily the worst race because it didn't cover any of the weaknesses or encourage any synergies with any class. These changes make Skeleton focused a lot more on being a tank, which its talents originally hinted at. The first talent now gives a massive amount of physical saves that scale with constitution. This replaces the duration reduction of the third talent. The duration reduction is largely a useless stat if you can't get it to 100% reduction as debuffs are either "I don't care about this" or "I want this gone immediately." Immunities have typically always been the go to. Most classes have their immunites or debuff clears as their third or final talent, so putting this as the first talent gives some incentive to use this over Shalore. Originally it was going to be full physical debuff immunity like with Spine of the World but after some deliberation I figured this was too good. I kind of like the saves here as a way to demonstrate just how much is needed to be good. The numbers for this are chosen that provided you put in significant investment, it should provide excellent returns such that it's the only source of physical save needed on difficulties of insane or lower. The third talent now gives you the Corruption/Bone tree. This here because I thought this would be fun, and thematic. I got a bit of feedback that people wanted a mobility tree on Skeleton, but honestly I feel like that removes one of the interesting weaknesses of the class, that you are forced to use blink rune for mobility. This drawback provides some interesting decisions in what to select for your race and I think it should remain to encourage strategic building. Also: Reassemble now scales with Constitution. Both Bone Armour and Reassemble's descriptions have been updated to fully detail the things they scale with. They previously did not mention that they scale with your max HP. Classes that would be good with this skelly rework: Classes without a lot of defenses, classes with a lot of mobility, classes with the Corruption/Bone tree, classes that don't need to focus on 3 non-Constitution stats. Update 1.2.0 Also I fixed a couple of bugs. Learning the Bone talents now correctly gives the Vim resource bar and puts them on your hotbar automatically. Inspired by Erenion's Light From Below addon, which provides similar functionality in its Light From Below campaign. Necro NegLife+ 1.7.2Makes a couple of tweaks to Necromancer to make it less prone to accumulating disproportionate amounts of positive life, thus helping its 0-life threshold gimmicks retain relevance: Blurred Mortality now converts half of your maximum life bonus from Constitution to negative death threshold, retroactively. This is a relatively minor change, but it will at least stop Constitution from giving a greater proportion of positive life to negative life per point at high levels. Lichform will convert half of the maximum life you gain from levelling up after transforming to negative death threshold (non-retroactively). Instead of drastically increasing the proportion of positive life to negative life to the point where the latter is practically dwarfed and never encountered outside of extreme situations, Lichform will now cause you to break perfectly even, and in most cases will in fact slow the rate at which you gain positive life. (Credit to GlassGo on the forums for suggesting this behaviour!) These tweaks will likely cause some level of disruption to Necromancer's power balancing, so any feedback given on the forums towards further polishing would be appreciated. Enjoy! As a Steel Monk, the Brawler can wield a weapon in their hands while still making unarmed attacks. While wielding a weapon, they can gain Greatest Weapon Focus, causing them to follow up their unarmed attacks with weapon attacks and parrying the attacks of their enemies. Taking this prodigy will refund any points in Weapon Mastery, then grant you Weapon Mastery based on your Unarmed Mastery. Rage Mage class 1.7.0Adds the Rage Mage class. The Rage Mage is an arcane/temporal caster that, when injured, gets too mad to cast and starts punching things. Patrol Gold 1.7.6--- DESCRIPTION --- This addon makes enemies in the world map patrol drop a fair amount of gold. Every enemy generated via a world map ambush will drop ten instances of gold, averaging around one gold per instance. If used with the Spells Merchants addon by Akaviriblade, it adds a way to "grind" the patrols for gold so you can buy stat points and whatnot. Any time a category or tree is learned which is dependant on something specific that you don't already have, one or multiple 'Wanderer' trees will be granted locked as well. That talent will always be cast at effective level 4, but its cooldown will increase proportionally with how many levels this talent is effectively adding. If your selected talent has an effective level over 4, its cooldown will be reduced instead. 1. Space Out: each talent cast will increase your negative life slightly. 2. Recompose: select an activated talent that has a cooldown. If you are affected by any non-other debuffs, using that talent will reduce the duration of each by a percent of that talent's cooldown, spread out across all debuffs affecting you and with a minimum of 1. 3. Practice: select an activated talent with less than 10 turns of cooldown that does not change the world in a permanent way and does not have a fixed cooldown. Each time you kill a creature that is worth experience, the raw level and mastery of this talent will increase to a cap. 4. Hyperfixate: instant sustain. Yakri's Stat Changes-mod 1.6.7My personal twist on and combination of "TLR's Stat changes" by thelastraven, "Moderately Generous Levels" by Chaotic Heretic, and "Constitution Viability Buff" by Raenarill. This is my first ToME mod, so bear with me, I'm still working on balance and stuff, just give me constructive criticism please! Leveling changes: + 0.2% resist all per level after 50, so 10% should you reach level 100. Level 2 is a "double" level, granting double the normal points (6 stat, 2 class/generic points) Max life per point increased from 4 to 5. Added 0.04 life regen/turn per point. Added 0.25% Heal Mod per point. Added 1 Stamina per point. Yakri: This is my take on TLR's (thelastraven) stat changes mod. Mainly I just wanted my own exact preferences registered on te4 to be honest. I liked the overall concept, but felt some of the changes were too powerful even for some nightmare runs on mid classes. This mod takes the basic shell of TLR's stat changes, then strips out some extra global bonuses to resists and nerfs some constition changes I felt went too far This mod goes over particularly well with other overpowered fun addons, like the multi-class challenge. Race: Tinkerer 1.7.5Adds Tinkerer as a new Human subrace. Tinkerers are identical to Cornacs, except they begin with Steamtech/Physics and Steamtech/Chemistry instead of an additional category point. I made this race because I wanted a consistent way to obtain tinkers with any non-tinker class, without relying on the tinker escort. The Tinkerer is intended to be a balanced and viable alternative to the Cornac race within the official "Maj'Eyal: The Age of Ascendancy" campaign. When used with a tinker class, this race only grants an additional starting talent point to both Physics/Smith and to Chemistry/Therapeutics. Feel free to extend/modify this addon as you wish!
