Talent Point Planner 1.1.0

The Talent Point Planner allows you to plan how to spend your character's future talent points (hence the name).  Bound to the <alt-shift-g> key by default [which can be changed in the usual manner], the planner makes a temporary copy of your character, levels it up to level 50, and opens the level-up dialog for you to set up your point plan.  When you're finished, the plan will be saved and displayed as annotations in the regular level-up dialog.

    Also provides various small improvements and bugfixes for the levelup dialog:

    • New game option "[ZOmnibus] | Sort unlearnt talent trees by name", with settings "None", "Unlearnt" or "All".
    • New game option "[ZOmnibus] | Verbose talent requirements", which adds a warning message to talent descriptions in the levelup dialog if you cannot use a talent due to not wielding appropriate equipment or similar requirements.
    • In the planner levelup dialog, press <Ctrl-U> to dump the current point plan to a file.
    • Improves "advanced display" mode for talents with maximum level greater than 5.
    • Updates stat display when increasing or decreasing level of talents that passively improve stats.

      (BETA) Shield Hero is an Adventurer who starts with heavy armor and a shield. Not very exciting unless you were annoyed about not being able to equip your Adventurer's shield right away.
      (BETA) Prototype Hero is an Adventurer who starts with 1.3 mastery in every category. Not very useful for players, but it might be interesting for addon writers to spitball new category combinations.

      Phoenix Knight: Powerful warriors who blast their foes with solar fire while calling healing light upon their allies. Their solar fire attacks will strike as either fire or light damage, whichever will hit their target the hardest, and their potent healing and cleansing abilities make them tough opponents to bring down.

      Mind Knight: Psionic warriors who strengthen their mental abilities by tapping into their inner magic. Adept at telekinesis, telepathy, and teleportation, they are mobile scouts who can quickly get a lay of the land and sow chaos among their foes with physical and mental debilitations, or even outright compulsions.

      Storm Knight: Swift skirmishers who rely on extreme mobility and powerful lightning magic to strike their foes down and avoid reprisals. Extremely fast and difficult to pin down, they can cast entire enemy units into disarray with their wealth of area attacks. All mage knights can cast while they fight, but experienced storm knights are also able to fight while they move.

      Earth Knight: The heaviest of infantry, earth knights hammer their foes with physical and natural forces while shielding themselves with the power of the earth. Highly resilient in the face of any attack, earth knights provide a slow and steady offense supported by powerful gemstone shields and the endurance of a living mountain.

      Sea Knight: Healers first, fighters second, battle mages a somewhat distant third, while sea knights lack the raw offensive power of other mage knights, they make up for it with amazing personal defense and recovery abilities. And though their attacks may be individually weak, like the sea itself, they are able to wear down even the strongest defenses eventually, eroding their opponents away with gradually strengthening spells, making them terrors in a battle of attrition.

      Mana Knight: Experimenting pioneers who do amazing things with raw magical energy. They have the most conventional magical training of the mage knights, even if they sometimes put it to unconventional use. Their arcane attacks can overwhelm the powers of other spellcasters, and while they lack the scope of power of full-fledged archmages, they are masters of the fundamentals of the various arcane schools.

      This addon adds in a Faerie, or Fey, race into ToME. This addon was originally created by Kaballah, but he hasn't been online in over a year.
      Instead of letting it die (I mean, how could we not be able to play as a Faerie?) I decided to fork it over into a playable form.
      I've taken it, modified it's values, and changed it's 4th talent.

      The Fey are an incredibly quick and agile race, however they are incredibly fragile.
      You will have to make use of their blinding speed to survive encounters.
      If you find yourself in trouble, you can spray some Fey Dust onto nearby enemies while you escape.

      Dark Faeries are Faeries that have given up much of their natural agility and defense in exchange for bonus offensive potency.
      They are extremely frail, even more so than their more agile counterparts, but make up for it with faster offense, higher damage, and many different tricks.
      Despite all thoughts otherwise, they are still, mostly, a playful bunch to be around, if not a bit more painful in their method of invitation.

      They say that deep within the forests of The Gloom lies a mysterious hedge maze, expanding as far as the eye can see.
      While most people are sane enough not to enter, those that do never come out the same, if at all.
      The Hedge forever changes them... empowers them... to what end, nobody knows.
      A Hedgeknight is a worthy foe, capable of laying wound upon wound on enemies, and inflicting them with the most dangerous of poisons.

      This addon adds in the Hedgeknight Class, a Two-Handed warrior who uses the power of 'The Hedge' to augment his power with various summons and buffs.

      Talents

      Ivy

      All talents in this tree revolve around summoning friendly Ivy, each of which has a different effect, and scales slightly differently.
      All will have 15% of your max health, and all will have a Resist All rating equal to a certain stat. (Will be listed below.)
      Using one talent in this tree will put every other talent in this tree on a 3 turn cooldown.

      Each Ivy's effect is applied when you land a melee attack on an enemy that is also within melee range of an Ivy.
      Doing so will kill the Ivy, apply it's effect, and restore 3 Equilibrium to you.

      Additionally, all Ivy (and your Bush Guardian) are part of a Plant Network, that allows them to share damage with one another.

      Poison Ivy

      Resist All is equal to 50% of your poison resistance.
      This Ivy will deal weapon Damage split between Nature and Poison damage.

      Crippling Ivy

      Resist All is equal to 50% of your physical save.
      This Ivy will cripple the target, reducing melee, spellcasting and mind speed for 5 turns.

      Razorleaf Ivy

      Resist All is equal to 50% of your bleeding resistance.
      This Ivy will deal weapon Damage split between Physical and Bleeding damage.

      Medicinal Ivy

      Resist All is equal to 50% of your heal mod.
      This Ivy will heal your health.
      Amount healed is equal to your constitution + 25% of your max health.

      Thorns

      Offers some basic combat moves, a little bit of mobility, and a sustain that greatly increases your damage potential in extended fights.
      Also includes a passive that grants some immunities, as well as reducing the immunities of nearby enemies based on it's value.

      Thorn Whip

      Attack a nearby enemy within range 4 for Nature weapon damage.
      If you hit, you pin them, and pull yourself to them.
      If used while in melee range, also deals a high amount of Physical weapon damage.
      Can be cast on an Ivy, which will refund your cost, and half your cooldown.
      Higher talent levels allow you to control your landing.

      Thorn Graze

      Attack an enemy in melee range for Nature weapon damage.
      Also deals a high amount of weapon damage split between Bleeding and Poison.
      If used while your Bushy Friend is within melee range of your target, applies a regeneration effect onto your Bushy Friend.

      Thorn Rose

      Grants passive Pin, Poison, and Bleeding resistance.
      Also passively reduces the Pin, Poison, and Bleeding resistance of nearby enemies based on this value.

      Thorn Body

      Sustain that grants passive Armor and Strength.
      Also adds bonus Bleeding damage when hit in melee, and on weapon attacks.

      Bush Guardian

      A tree that revolves around a moderate damage pet, that uses him for mobility and damage options.

      Bushy Beard

      Passively grant yourself Constitution and Accuracy.
      Sustain this talent to bring your Bushy Friend to the battlefield.
      Your Bushy Friend's stats are based on your Willpower and Max Life, and he gains bonus Life Regen and Resist All for every Ivy on the field.

      Bush Taunt

      Requires your Bushy Friend to be on the battlefield.
      Deals damage in a radius 1 around your Bushy Friend.
      Taunts any enemies hit.

      Bush to Bush

      Requires your Bushy Friend to be on the battlefield.
      Deals damage in a radius 1 around both yourself, and your Bushy friend.
      You deal Physical damage, Bushy friend deals half Nature, half Bleeding.
      If your Bushy Friend is more than 2 tiles away, you also jump near him.

      Bush Whacker

      Requires your Bushy Friend to be on the battlefield and within 2 tiles of yourself.
      Kicks your Bushy Friend across the battlefield, dealing damage in a radius 1 around his landing position, and stunning targets hit.

      Hedgecraft

      A tree that revolves around using your control over the hedge to do weave 'Impossible' feats.

      One With the Hedge

      Link yourself into your Plant Network, sharing and receiving damage though it.
      Talent points reduce the values you give and recieve.

      Hedgify

      Empower your weapon with the very power of the Hedge itself, and attack all targets within a range of 3 for half Nature, half Poison damage.
      Confuses all targets hit.
      With One with the Hedge sustained, this talent's cooldown is reduced to 4, and it additionally heals all allies within range.

      Hedge Portal

      Step 'through' the Hedge to your target location, gaining bonus Armor, Defense, and Resist All for a few turns.
      With One with the Hedge sustained, this talent requires you to target a friendly Ivy for the teleport(which will die), but it's cost and cooldown are removed.

      Hedge Grasp

      Pull in a nearby enemy with the power of the hedge, pinning and blinding them.
      With One with the Hedge sustained, if your Bushy Friend is on the field, he'll pin and blind all enemies around his current position.

      Petals

      A tree that revolves around low to mid ranged melee combat.

      Petal Beam

      Attack an enemy at short range with a Nature Weapon attack.
      If the attack hits, you will deal additional damage to all enemies near your main target.

      Petal Swarm

      Attack an enemy at short to medium range with a Nature Weapon attack.
      If the attack hits, you Stun them.
      If the attack misses, or the Stun fails, you instead Daze them. This Daze cannot be resisted.

      Petal Implosion

      Attack an enemy in melee range with a high damage Nature Weapon attack.
      This attack will than knock you back a small to medium distance.

      Petal Dance

      Sustain this talent to become one with your Petals.
      While sustained, every single Weapon attack you do grants you a Petal charge.
      If the enemy is in melee range, they are additionally knocked back 1 tile.
      These petal charges will be expended whenever you take more than 5% of your max life in damage, and will reduce the damage.
      You lose 1 charge per turn.
      Damaging Ivy grant 2 charges each, while non damaging Ivy grant 0 charges.

      Adjustable Talent/Stat/Generic Point Multiplier 1.0.3

      Hello, everyone. This is my first mod; I would like to state, first and foremost, that it is my very first, and I hardly know the language. I have been using it, and have not experienced any bugs personally; but to be safe, I would say back-up saves before using, and so on.

      This mod may be considered a little "Cheaty", but I made it for those who found the game too hard, or wanted faster progress/different customization, but didn't want to reach high level too fast via the 'Adjustable EXP' mod (Like myself). This mod allows you to, via Game Options, set a modifier (Whole numbers only) from 1-10, for how many Stat Points, Talent Points, and Generic Points you get per level, seperately. You could make yourself gain 2x the stats (So 6) per level, or instead, 3x the Talent Points, while only the normal amount of generic ones. I tried to make it pretty customizable, really.

      I hope you enjoy! Please report any bugs you find.

      Update 1: Adjusted the md5 hash, and short-name inside the addon, to allow it to register with the md5 check okay.

      Update 2:
      I included EXP rate modification, aka, exp gained per kill, as seen in the adjustable-exp mod. It was because I used it at times, but it wasn't updated. If the owner of said mod would like it removed once updated, I can!

      As a note, these are editable in Game Options -> Gameplay, AFTER having made a new character.

      After doing this, you can adjust EXP rate between 0 and 1000%.
      You can gain between 1-10x the following:
      Stat Points
      Talent Points
      Generic Points
      For example, you gain 3x Stat Points per level up usually, at "3x" multiplier, you will gain 9. This is ONLY at level up. You have the normal amount at level 1!

        When you deactivate this signet (which takes no time) it resets the cooldowns on Mind Wrack and Decoy.

        The effects will increase with your Strength.

        Commentary: Superficially similar to the "Resilience" talent for Summoners, but with a different passive benefit calculation. Since Mesmers cannot really wear any armor and have low health, they primarily survive by avoiding damage and by having their illusions take damage for them. As a result, this talent, which buffs illusion health by 5-25%, may actually be closer to "Shielding", which buffs damage shields by 25-60%.

        Commentary: This "boon duration and synergy" effect has no general equivalent in ToME. There are talents that increase the durations of particular effects (e.g., only damage shields or only regenerations). This Signet increases all beneficial effects that last more than one turn. This has a pleasant synergy with default Mesmer staff powers, but the clever player will find other fruitful combinations (e.g., buffs from inscriptions or charms, etc.).

        Commentary: The passive speed benefit follows "Celerity" (but does not include free item set switching). The burst speed benefit is half as strong as "Lightning Speed". Mobility is critical for Mesmers, and this is the only Mesmer power that increases raw movement speed.

        Commentary: This ability helps Mesmers when they need it most: in the middle of a tough battle that requires multiple illusions. When the illusions are gone, the deactivation power resets some of the cooldowns needed to summon more. The passive healing rate scaling (3.0 per illusion per talent level every 3 turns) loosely follows "Fast Metabolism" (about 3.0 per talent level every turn), assuming you can keep three illusions alive.

The illusionary clone has 1% of your health, deals 0% of your damage, never moves, and knows the talents Winds of Chaos and Spatial Surge at the same levels you do.         Commentary: Phantasms have more health and deal more damage than normal illusionary clones. Illusionary Death Dance follows "Death Dance" but with radius 2 (recall: illusions cannot move) and an additional cripple. This is the only Memser talent that uses attacks to inflict direct weapon damage; the illusion can miss.

        Commentary: The radius and damage loosely follow "Repulsion Blast", but with a 50% damage increase (instead of Paradox scaling) and 700% cooldown increase. This is typically a last-ditch talent for Mesmers who are out of mobility talents.

        Effect to allies: Mesmeric Overload (+10% to all damage per application, max 10%) for 5 turns.

        After the attack the mesmer steps back one square away from the target.

        The bolt can bounce to a creature within range 6 of the last target up to 3 times. A creature cannot be struck by multiple bounces from the same use of this talent. Note that because of the bouncing you can profitably aim this talent at a friendly target, such as an illusion. The effects increase with Magic and the critical chance is based on your spell crit rate.

        Commentary: This is one of three staple Mesmer powers. It reinforces a focus on ranged attacks and mobility. The cooldown and damage follow "Flame", except that Flame is dealt over 3 turns while this is dealt over 4 (further encouraging mobility). Stacking Mesmeric Overload from illusions can result in a substantial damage increase during long-running fights, but requires investment in this talent to raise the cap.

The invisibility and the clone(s) serve to make this a useful escape power, but be wary of waiting until foes are in melee range to use it, since some foes will see through the invisibility.

        Commentary: This is an iconic Mesmer ability. When illusions are about to die -- or when you want to end a fight early -- they can be detonated to harm or cripple foes. The scaling is 150% the damage dealt by the icy spell "Shatter". Mind Wrack is harder to aim, requires and destroys illusions, and does not inflict control effects without additional talent points spent elsewhere. It does have the potential to hit multiple targets, however, and foes surrounded by multiple illusions can be hit multiple times.
