New characters in Maj'Eyal start out with the Rod of Asphyxiation, an item made to quickly drown npcs.

This is a stand-alone Quality of Life pack that improves some minor things about ToME gameplay.
This pack adds particles to certain effect types (such as "dizzy stars" for stuns and confusions, or green bubbles for poisons).
Background: It is otherwise difficult to tell if or when certain effects procced or not, and it is also kind of obnoxious having to check each and every enemy for whether they're affected by something or not.

Allows characters to respec anywhere in game, not just in towns. This is a direct reversion of the change made in 1.2.3 to the way it was in 1.2.2 and before.

 This addon allows to filter inventory by some text from the

description of items. Right click on a tab in the inventory and type a text in
the popup dialog.

For example, filter "Rings and Amulets" with "lightning" to find any jewelry
with lightning damage/resistance effects.

You can choose to regenerate the current character at the beginning, or to go back to the character generation screen and create a new one.

Adds new "Semi-Roguelike" permadeath modes that give extra lives later in the game than Adventure mode, and a new achievement "Honorary Roguelike Win" for winning the game in a Semi-Roguelike (or Adventure) mode without dying.

Modifies the character creation dialog to bypass the lock check for races and classes, allowing characters to be created using locked races and classes. Doesn't actually unlock anything.
